With the tenth edition of Digital Week Kiel, the state capital will once again become a showcase for cutting-edge digital topics from 2 to 8 May.
Registration for the events is now open.
In its anniversary year, Kiel Digital Week invites everyone from Kiel and the surrounding region to get actively involved in exploring the possibilities for shaping our digital present and future.
For the past ten years, Kiel Digital Week has stood for openness, networking and a forward-looking approach. The programme for this anniversary year in particular demonstrates just how important it is to understand current technological developments and to play an active and responsible role in shaping them.
This year, there is a particular focus on the dynamic developments surrounding artificial intelligence. Through talks, workshops and panel discussions, the event will explore current trends, specific examples of AI applications and the social implications of AI. This year also marks a special anniversary: the 10th edition of #diwokiel. The “ten” once again underlines the significance of the digital festival for Kiel and the north: a unique meeting place for people from business, politics and society to exchange views on digital technologies and developments, share their knowledge and shape the future together.
The #diwokiel events take place across Kiel, at companies, institutions and other venues, with many events also available to watch via livestream. The individual venues are complemented by four central festival locations.
The InnoPier on the Kleiner Kiel forms the heart of the festival with the #diwokiel main stage; this is where the opening ceremony, keynotes, panel discussions and livestream events will take place.
In the newly designed rooms of the Schleswig-Holstein State Library in the Kulturspeicher, visitors can expect a diverse programme of workshops and lectures in a particularly open and communicative atmosphere.
KITZ – the Kiel Innovation and Technology Centre – is a modern hub for young, sustainable and technology-oriented companies, offering an ideal environment for digital inspiration through workshops and specialist talks.
COBL by opencampus complements the programme with practical, accessible workshops and hands-on sessions in a personal setting, inviting participants to experiment, contribute and exchange ideas.
A large proportion of the events once again come directly from the community. The #diwokiel26 programme reflects the central importance of artificial intelligence for the economy and society. The tone of the programme: fewer basics, more specifics – particularly when it comes to AI. Nevertheless, this year’s programme is again characterised by its complexity and breadth.
ISO 27001, NIS2 or DORA – many companies are familiar with the requirements, but the path to compliance is often a struggle. Instead of clear processes, Excel spreadsheets, a variety of tools and a great deal of manual work dominate. This costs time and patience, and rarely provides the necessary overview.

Curls are making a comeback – yet traditional perms are often seen as imprecise, difficult to replicate and no longer in vogue. What’s more, the conventional method offers little to no scope for creativity.
