As the Kiel Economic Development Agency (KiWi), we see ourselves as a shaper of the future, a driver of structural development, and a service provider for Kiel as a business location. Whether it’s start-ups, business development or business relocation – we act as the link between the business community, the local government, universities, as well as support companies in all matters relating to start-ups, location, innovation and financing. In addition, we support investors, market our own and the city’s commercial sites and properties, manage project redevelopment sites and promote cooperation between education, science, and industry.

Kiel Start-up Spotlight: Kopexa brings structure to ISO and compliance processes
ISO 27001, NIS2 or DORA – many companies are familiar with the requirements, but the path to compliance is often a struggle. Instead of clear processes, Excel spreadsheets, a variety of tools and a great deal of manual work dominate. This costs time and patience, and rarely provides the necessary overview.
