Digitalization is bringing about a fundamental shift in the way businesses operate, stay competitive, and create value through optimising work processes, developing new products and business models, and strengthening customer focus. To capitalize on these opportunities, comprehensive training initiatives are often required alongside shifts to corporate structure and culture. Together with our network partners, such as opencampus.sh, we support companies in Kiel in building new digital skills and partnering in innovative inititatives such as the "Digital Challenge."
Kiel's Digital Week presents a diverse range of networking events, top-class workshops, and fascinating insights into current topics regarding digitalization. Alongside the practical application of digital tools and techniques, the program also addresses current issues in the field. Once a year, Kiel becomes a week-long hub of inspiration, where visitors experience the latest trends first-hand and gain insights into today’s digital challenges and opportunities.
KiWi is a partner in the Digital Challenge, which is organised annually by the Mittelstand-Digital Center Schleswig-Holstein and the association The Bay Areas e.V.
Teams of students from various universities spend ten days with the participating companies developing innovative digital business models.
During this time, the students are supported by university coaches and cooperation partners, enabling them to acquire valuable knowledge and come into contact with exciting companies and possible future employment opportunities. For companies, this provides a valuable opportunity to explore new business areas and engage with future talent.
KiWi is a partner in the “Front-End Development Programme (FEND)” run by opencampus.sh.
FEND is aimed at talented individuals who wish to gain the skills needed to secure a job in the field of programming.
Over a period of six months, participants (often while studying) learn the basics of web programming using online training programmes. Regional companies are regularly involved in this programme, enabling them to recruit new skilled workers.
Through the FEND partnership, KiWi actively contributes to the training and recruitment of talent in the field of software development.
