The Boelckestraße area is characterized by its excellent transport links through land, water and air. Located in the north of Kiel, it is in close proximity to the main road, long-distance transport routes, the port, as well as the airport -- with the Boelckestraße area covering a total of 9.1 hectares, 5.8 hectares of which are commercial land. These characteristics offer ideal conditions and connections for commercial use.
Development of the commercial real estate began in March 2020. After a construction period of less than nine months, and completion at the end of December 2020, the infrastructure facilities were handed over to the state capital of Kiel.
The Boelckestraße industrial area is located in the north of Kiel, in the immediate vicinity of Holtenau Airport. Kiel city center can be reached in 15 minutes via the main road.

The KiWi not only provided interim financing and managed the project for the infrastructure development and development of the site, but was also responsible for marketing the site. The total investment costs for the commercial real estate Boelckestraße amount to over EUR 4 million, of which EUR 2.3 million was provided by the State Economic Programme using funds from the Joint Task "Improvement of the Regional Economic Structure" (GRW). The total area of the marketable plots is approximately 58,000 m², of which approximately 50,000 m² has already been sold.
The timely completion of the infrastructure works and the subsequent successful marketing of all plots in the Boelckestraße business park represents an important and pivotal milestone in the development of commercial land in the north of Kiel. Together with the future development at StrandOrt Kiel in Friedrichsort, this will strengthen the economies of the Holtenau and Friedrichsort districts.
The following companies, which have created and retained around 560 jobs, will be headquartered there in the future:
