Sea Tech Week is an international conference for key stakeholders in marine science and technology.
It is the flagship event of the Campus Mondial de la Mer and has been held in Brest for 25 years. The key themes for 2026 are ‘Ports of the Future’, ‘Marine Renewable Energies’ and ‘Seabeds’.
Why is taking part worthwhile?
This French port city on the Atlantic coast is one of Europe’s leading centres for the maritime economy and innovation, and is France’s most important naval base.
As Brest’s twin town, the state capital Kiel – ‘Kiel.Sailing.City’ – will also be represented at the event and, together with KiWi, Kiel’s Economic Development Agency, and business representatives from Kiel, will showcase our maritime business hub.
Brest and Kiel have been twin towns for more than 60 years. This year, they are also united by their shared role as European science ambassadors as part of the EU project ‘Science Comes To Town’ (SCTT), which aims, amongst other things, to strengthen the links between the two cities’ maritime innovation ecosystems.
