Under the theme “From Research to Impact/Cooperations – Innovative through partnerships,” the CAU Transfer Day will take place on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at the Kiel Science Center.
The aim of the event is to highlight the appeal of university research in conjunction with the opportunities for making innovative ideas visible and usable. The event will explore in greater depth the role that collaboration and partnerships can play in this regard.
The varied programme will feature an inspiring keynote speech, an engaging panel discussion, presentations on various knowledge transfer projects, and a get-together afterwards.
The Transfer Day is aimed at professors, researchers and staff at the CAU, as well as representatives from business and politics and students. It is designed to inspire you and show you the options available for utilising your research and work outcomes, so that you can draw inspiration for your future.
We are delighted that the new President of Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Prof. Dr Michal Kucera, will be joining us. He will open the event with a welcome address and take part in the panel discussion.
Another highlight of the day will be the keynote address by Dr Verena Lütschg, entitled ‘Technology on the Move: Innovation Needs Enthusiasm’. In her talk, she will also examine the topic of innovation and knowledge transfer from the perspective of both researchers and businesses, and will be one of the panellists in the discussion.
After the coffee break, various transfer projects will present their work at different stages of development. They will then be available for a personal discussion.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from renowned experts in person and engage in conversation with them.
