Representatives from manufacturing companies in the region came together for the sixth network meeting. The event was hosted by the start-up AI Ready GmbH by falkemedia, which helps companies to use artificial intelligence in a targeted and practical way.
In their presentation ‘AI Solutions for Manufacturing Companies’, Benjamin Haben and Dr Miriam Maibaum from AI-Ready by falkemedia demonstrated how AI can be put to good use in day-to-day business operations.
Using ten simple AI hacks, they provided insights into the possibilities of generative AI – from achieving better results through appropriate settings to the clear presentation of large amounts of data, for example as graphics or podcasts. It became clear that AI can simplify work processes and save time when used in a targeted manner.
AI Ready offers a range of services to develop relevant AI applications in collaboration with and for manufacturing companies on a bespoke basis. Data protection also plays a key role in this. AI Ready relies on the encryption technology developed by the Kiel-based start-up anymize for its solutions.
Olga Lysak from Lemberg Solutions GmbH then gave a presentation entitled ‘Harnessing AI: Winning the Competition’, in which she explained how companies can be supported with more complex AI projects in production.
She emphasises that it is important not to deploy AI indiscriminately across the board, but rather to carefully consider where AI is useful and in which areas humans still achieve better results. “Even in the age of AI, critical thinking remains important,” says Olga Lysak.
Following the keynote presentations, Dr Miriam Maibaum gave a tour of falkemedia’s Green Campus. Since 1994, the media company has been publishing magazines, books, e-books and calendars on the topics of cooking, technology and lifestyle, such as the ZaubertopfClub.
The building in Schönkirchen, which opened in 2023, was designed and built with a strong focus on sustainability. Modern workspaces, an open atmosphere, recording studios and a beautifully landscaped outdoor area with a pond invite visitors to linger. “It’s a great place to work,” the participants agreed.
In this innovative setting, an open discussion then took place over drinks and snacks. Start-ups and representatives from established manufacturing companies networked with one another, exchanged views on AI and other current topics, and planned future collaborations.
Many thanks for the hospitality and the excellent organisation of the event. It was inspiring to be a guest at the Green Campus!
