The WTSH joint stand will showcase Schleswig-Holstein as a location with great potential for the energy transition. From 5 to 7 October 2026, EXPO REAL in Munich will focus on the latest developments, forward-looking topics and innovative solutions in the property sector.
EXPO REAL, one of Europe’s leading property trade fairs, is expected to attract around 42,000 attendees from 70 countries, who will be able to find out about the latest industry trends and key future and transformation topics from some 1,750 exhibitors.
Naturally, the ‘Real North’ will also be represented with a joint stand. Under the motto ‘Green Power. Bright Ideas. Strong Connections.’, a total of 18 partners will be presenting Schleswig-Holstein in Hall B2 at Stand 330 as a location characterised by a passion for innovation, a pioneering spirit and great potential. The joint stand is organised by Wirtschaftsförderung und Technologietransfer Schleswig-Holstein GmbH (WTSH).
“As a pioneer in the field of renewable energy, with its unique geographical location and state-of-the-art infrastructure, Schleswig-Holstein offers excellent opportunities for all stakeholders in the property sector. Furthermore, we are making great strides in our transformation into the first climate-neutral industrialised country.”
On 6 October, State Secretary Carstens will take part in the “FROM VALLEY TO VALUE” event, at which Schleswig-Holstein will be showcasing itself alongside three German Net Zero Valley regions (Hall B1, Stand 440). The term ‘Net Zero Valley’ refers to model regions that are being specifically transformed into hubs for clean, climate-neutral industry and green technologies. Schleswig-Holstein aims to complete its transformation into the first climate-neutral industrial state by 2040 and is currently applying for the title of an official Net Zero Valley model region.
Visitors can also look forward to an attractive and varied programme at the WTSH joint stand in Hall B2, Stand 330, on all three days of the fair. The highlight, as is traditional, will be the North German Reception, which will be opened on 5 October at 5.00 pm by WTSH Managing Director Ulrike Wielatt together with the Managing Director of Hamburg Invest, Dr Rolf Strittmatter. Under the motto “Strong Regions. Stronger Connections.”, this year’s event will focus entirely on the diverse collaborations between Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg. “From the energy transition and cutting-edge research to logistics and critical infrastructure – the key issues for the future do not respect regional boundaries,” said Wielatt.
“That is why Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg must combine their strengths effectively, develop collaborative ideas and jointly present the North German economic region as a highly attractive destination for ambitious companies, project developers and investors.”
KielRegion GmbH and NORDGATE, representing Schleswig-Holstein’s two strongest economic regions, are traditional partners at the WTSH joint stand. Under the motto “Together, we’re stronger”, KielRegion GmbH brings together the potential of the districts of Rendsburg-Eckernförde and Plön, as well as the state capital Kiel, and is actively developing the region further in collaboration with strong partners. Under the NORDGATE brand, five local authorities along the A7 motorway offer modern commercial sites in prime locations – including excellent links to the airport and port, first-class infrastructure and comprehensive advisory services. A long-standing stand partner is the ‘Energieküste’ (Energy Coast), a true pioneer region for renewable energy in Germany. The network of innovative companies, strong business development agencies and committed local authorities is creating the conditions for the energy system of the future on Schleswig-Holstein’s North Sea coast.
CT Objekt Osterrönfeld GmbH & Co KG, a member of the Tietje Group, is represented at the joint stand for the first time. CT Objekt Osterrönfeld focuses on the development of commercial sites and the planning of residential and commercial properties, as well as data centres.
